India Production Of iPhone 15 Plus To Start Next Quarter
After the vanilla iPhone 15, production of the larger iPhone 15 Plus model will also begin in India in the next quarter, says a report by ET Telecom. Apple's contract manufacturer Foxconn has started preparations for locally assembling the iPhone 15 Plus in the country at its plant near Chennai, the report added quoting two industry executives privy to the development. This year's iPhone 15 models have been launched with notable upgrades, such as the Dynamic Island on the non-Pro models and USB-C charging for all four models. The iPhone 15 Pro models have been launched with Titanium chassis. The report added that the tech giant is also aiming to double its India sales in the next quarter.

OnePlus Launching Budget Tablet In India
In line with previous leaks and rumours, handset maker OnePlus has teased a tablet which may be unveiled in India soon. The Android tab is purported OnePlus Pad Go and it will be a budget offering, unlike OnePlus' maiden tab, the OnePlus Pad (read our full review here: OnePlus Pad Review: A Spellbinding First Attempt). The smartphone maker has posted a teaser on X, formerly Twitter, indicating a possible launch in India.
Redmi Watch 3 Active To Retail On Amazon India
Redmi Watch 3 Active which was launched with a 1.83-inch rectangular LCD panel and up to 12 days of battery life will be available on e-commerce site Amazon India, the company has announced. The Redmi Watch 3 Active costs Rs 2,999 and was unveiled in two colour options: Platinum Grey and Charcoal Black. The handset maker had earlier announced that the smartwatch will go on sale starting August 3 across Mi.com and Xiaomi retail stores.

Music streaming giant Spotify's new tool called Showcase is here that will let artists market their music at a cost. According to Spotify, Showcase is a new campaign tool that "gives artists and their teams even more ways to get new and catalog music in front of the right listeners", right when it counts. With Showcase, they will be able to develop fans in ways that have never been "possible before" -- by giving their music its moment on Home. Spotify Showcase will let artists display a song or an entire album as a mobile banner, targeted at a specific type of listener in 30 markets. The banners will indicate that a recommendation has been sponsored.
Google Lays Off Hundreds From Recruitment Division
Tech giant Google has laid off hundreds of employees, in a second round of job cuts this year, amid continued job cuts in Silicon Valley. The Alphabet-owned company has confirmed the layoffs of hundreds of staff members in the recruiting division, the media has reported. To recall, earlier in January, the Google parent eliminated 12,000 jobs or about 6 per cent of its workforce across the firm. The employees laid off in January including those from the recruitment and engineering divisions.
Google Android Auto Will Let You Take Zoom, Cisco Calls
Drivers with vehicles equipped with Google's Android Auto will now be able to attend Zoom and WebEx by Cisco audio-only conference calls. "Beginning today, WebEx by Cisco and Zoom are both rolling out on Android Auto with audio-only capability, introducing a whole new category of apps," Google said in a blog post on Wednesday.
Watchdog ANFR Asks Apple To Stop Selling iPhone 12 In France
ANFR, the French radiation watchdog has claimed that tests have shown Apple iPhone 12 breaches radiation levels and thus, ordered Apple to stop selling the model in France, the media has reported. The watchdog has asked Apple to recall every iPhone 12 model sold in France if it cannot fix the radiation issue via an update. ANFR has carried out tests which showed that Apple iPhone 12 breached the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) value than what is legally allowed. However, Apple says that the device complies with all global radiation standards, according to a report by news agency Reuters.
