Apple Watch Ultra 2 Launch Soon?


Apple is likely to unveil three new smartwatches this year, alongside the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman's "Power On" newsletter. The three new smartwatches from Apple are codenamed N207, N208 and N210. One of the smartwatches may be the Apple Watch Ultra 2 while the other two are likely to be part of the Apple Watch Series 9. All three smartwatches are said to debut in September at Apple's fall event even though Gurman did not mention a launch timeline of the following products. Apple has been following a tradition of refreshing its iPhone and smartwatch lineup in September.

Ashwini Vaishnaw Gives Demo Of Semiconductor Tech That Micron Technology Is Bringing To India


Union Minister for Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday gave a demonstration of complex, precision semiconductor technology that global semiconductor systems maker Micron Technology is bringing to India, according to news agency ANI. This comes soon after US-based chip maker Micron Technology said it will invest up to $825 million in its first semiconductor assembly and test facility in the Indian state of Gujarat. Micron Technology’s facility has been approved under the Centre's “Modified Assembly, Testing, Marking and Packaging (ATMP) Scheme”.

Intel To Sell Its Bengaluru Office


In a bid to support its "hybrid" work model which has been widely adopted by most IT/ITes companies across India, tech giant Intel has decided to sell its office in Bengaluru, the media has reported. The Santa Clara, California-headquartered company is mulling to sell its 250,000 square feet of office space in Bengaluru's Old Airport Road. The deal is likely to fetch more than Rs 450 crore and the company is likely to enter into a lease agreement with new owners, says a report by Economic Times (ET). This is being seen as the company's attempt to monetise its real estate assets.

WhatsApp Bringing Large Stickers For Windows


In a bid to make its sticker experience better for users on Windows, WhatsApp is working to introduce a feature that would let them use large stickers on the messaging platform. Some beta testers are currently able to use large stickers on WhatsApp web if they have installed the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows update released on the Microsoft Store. The Meta-owned messaging platform is introducing large stickers to some beta testers on Windows.

IBM To Acquire Software Firm Apptio


IBM, the US-based technology giant, on Monday announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Vista Equity Partners to acquire Apptio for $4.6 billion, according to Reuters. Washington-based Apptio provides financial and operational IT management and optimisation software. The deal marks the latest move by IBM as the century-old IT technology major reorients itself to focus on newer AI and Cloud-based offerings.
