Swiggy has introduced a new feature, "Swiggy Pawlice," aimed at helping pet owners find their lost pets through the company's extensive delivery network. Available on the Swiggy app, this initiative allows pet owners to report a missing pet, with Swiggy’s delivery partners acting as extra eyes on the lookout.
What Will Swiggy Pawlice Do?
Through the app, pet owners can submit details and photos of their missing pets. Swiggy’s delivery fleet, which includes over 350,000 partners who are constantly on the move, will help monitor neighbourhoods for sightings. If a delivery partner spots the missing animal, they notify Swiggy’s dedicated team, which then informs the pet owner with precise details and location, ensuring the pet parent can handle the reunion.
Swiggy also shows appreciation for delivery partners who go out of their way to help in these searches, rewarding them for their efforts. This initiative underscores Swiggy’s commitment to community support, giving pet owners added hope in reuniting with their beloved pets.
How To Use Swiggy Pawlice?
Follow these steps to find the Swiggy Pawlice services:
1. Open the Swiggy app. Make sure you are logged in and have your location saved (you can simply give Swiggy access to your current location and the app will do the needful).
2. Go to Search and look up 'Pawlice'.
3. You will see a Swiggy Pawlice option. Tap on it
4. You will come across an intro page of how to use the app and what to expect from the service.
5. Scroll down, click on Find My Pet button.
6. An online Google form will open up, it will ask for details such as your name, contact, description of your pet, breed information, last seen location, and other details.
7. You can also upload a photo of your pet, and finally tap on Submit.
Swiggy, however, advises that you should report to the right authorities as well. Additionally, your lost date should fall within 2 weeks of the last time you saw your pet. It should be noted that Swiggy Pawlice might not be available pan-India.
