Spotify is evolving from being just a music streaming app, it is now setting its eye on bringing a few new features which will be akin to the ones that we see on social media apps. You might be wondering about what this feature is and how can it be used.

The app has been trying to change its image of just being a music streaming app rather it is trying to become an audio streaming app. Let us dive into this new feature and understand how it will help in increasing engagement.

What Is Comment Feature & How Can It Be Used

Comments offer a fantastic way for listeners to engage with your podcast, turning them into collaborators in its development. Their feedback and participation can help you refine your content, spark new ideas and inspiration, and give you valuable insights into what they enjoy and want to hear more of from you.

On both the web and mobile app, the Comments tab is where you can create, edit, and manage listener feedback for your show.

You can quickly view all published listener comments for your show, sorted by the most recent episode. For a more detailed look, click "show all" to see every comment on an episode. Additionally, you can add a poll to an existing episode by going to the Polls subtab.

All comments must be approved by creators before appearing on the episode page. These can be reviewed in the “Needs review” section of the new Comments tab.

Like and reply to your favourite comments to automatically push them live, or approve each comment individually by clicking the checkmark icon.

Comments will be kept private until approved by hosts. Creators have the option to disable comments, enable them for specific episodes, or turn them on for the entire show. Additionally, they can monitor their stats and track growth in real-time. Spotify will notify creators if their podcast ranks on a chart or reaches a milestone number of listeners. Creators can also make Countdown Pages to build anticipation for a release.
