SBI Down: State Bank of India's (SBI) online operations appear to be down for hundreds of users across the country for over 24 hours. According to outage tracker Downdetector, there was a huge spike in user-reported outages throughout the entire day on Tuesday. Even on Wednesday morning, at the time of writing, over 1,500 users took to Downdetector to flag cases of outage.

SBI is yet to provide an official statement on the outage or when a fix is to be expected.

Which SBI Services Are Down?

Some account holders, who did not wish to be identified, told ABP Live that there were problems with online transactions, even when trying to transfer money or while checking account balance via Google Pay, which threw up a 'Bank Network Is Down' message. Even upon enquiring physically at banks, they were told there were some "technical issues" for which bank services have come to a halt, with no information on when regular operations would resume.

However, users were able to do ATM transactions without a hitch.

According to users on X (formerly Twitter), SBI account holders are unable to do any online transactions, even UPI transfers.

According to Downdetector, about 55 per cent of outage reports were flagged for mobile banking, 27 per cent of reports were flagged for online banking, and 18 per cent reported were flagged for funds transfer.

In Which Cities Are SBI Services The Most Hit?

As per Downdetector's outage map, reports were flagged from across the nation, including cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Patna, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Cuttack.

As mentioned earlier, SBI is yet to provide official information on when regular services will resume.
