Nothing Phone 3a Series: Nothing is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphone lineup, the Phone 3a series, on March 4, 2025. This new range will include two models: Nothing Phone 3a and the higher-end 3a Pro. Notably, the company has introduced a change in its naming convention, opting for "Pro" instead of the previously used "Plus." While official specifications remain scarce, teasers and leaks have already hinted at significant upgrades, particularly in design and camera capabilities.

Nothing Phone 3a, Nothing Phone 3a Pro: Pricing and Availability

According to leaks, the Nothing Phone 3a could be priced at EUR 349 (approximately Rs 31,600) for the base model, while the higher variant may cost EUR 399 (around Rs 36,100).

Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro is expected to be priced at EUR 479 (roughly Rs 43,400). If these estimates are accurate, the 3a series will see a price hike compared to the Nothing Phone 2a.

Design and Display: Familiar Yet Refined

The Nothing Phone 3a series will retain the brand’s signature transparent back panel, but with some notable refinements. The 3a Pro stands out with a redesigned camera housing — a round, protruding module that accommodates a triple-camera setup. The arrangement, forming a right-angle layout, includes a periscope telephoto zoom lens, marking a first for Nothing smartphones. This addition is expected to deliver enhanced zoom functionality, distinguishing the Pro model from its predecessor.

The standard Phone 3a, on the other hand, features a more straightforward design. Its triple-camera setup is arranged within a pill-shaped module, sitting atop a circular island on the back panel. Apart from the camera placement, the phone closely resembles its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2a.

On the front, both models are expected to sport a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screens will be protected by Panda Glass and could reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals even in bright outdoor settings.

Performance and Features: A Shift to Snapdragon

Nothing has confirmed that the upcoming phones will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, marking a departure from the MediaTek Dimensity processor used in the previous generation. While the exact model remains undisclosed, leaks suggest that the devices may be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. However, whether both variants will feature the same processor is still unclear.

Adding to the list of new features, the Nothing Phone 3a series will introduce an additional button on the right side. The company has teased this fourth button as a versatile feature, drawing comparisons to Apple's Action Button. While Nothing has referred to it as "the second memory," its exact functionality remains a mystery.

Camera and Storage Variants

The Nothing Phone 3a is expected to house a triple-camera system featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies, a 32-megapixel front camera is anticipated. The device will support 2x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. Storage options are likely to include an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and a 12GB RAM + 256GB model.

The higher-end Nothing Phone 3a Pro will maintain a similar camera configuration but is set to offer superior zoom capabilities. With 3x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom, the Pro model could provide enhanced photography options. Additionally, it is expected to feature an upgraded 50-megapixel front camera for sharper selfies. The Phone 3a Pro will likely launch in a single variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Both models will be available in multiple color options, with the standard 3a expected in black and white, while the Pro variant may come in black and grey. With the launch just hours away, more concrete details will soon be revealed, providing a clearer picture of what Nothing’s latest lineup has to offer.
