New Delhi: Handset maker Motorola has teased that the purported Motorola Razr 3 will feature the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. According to previous leaks and rumours, Motorola's upcoming Razr 3 foldable smartphone is likely to come with an overhauled design and retain the clam shell design.
According to a poster shared on China’s popular social media website Weibo, the Lenovo-owned company mentioned that its next foldable device is going to debut soon. As per Motorola’s General Manager, Shen Jin, the Motorola Razr 3 may become the first foldable smartphone to come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
To power the next generation of premium and high-tier Android smartphones, chip maker Qualcomm has just announced its new lineup of mobile platforms, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipsets. Smartphone makers like Asus ROG, Black Shark, Honor, iQoo, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, RedMagic, Redmi, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE may unveil commercial devices with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the third quarter (Q3) of this year, according to Qualcomm and now, Motorola has also hinted at launching a foldable phone with the top-tier chipset.
Expected specs of Motorola Razr 3
According to some leaks and rumours, the Motorola Razr 3 will arrive with a 6.7-inch foldable screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and FullHD resolution. There could be a 3-inch cover display, a 32MP camera at the front for selfies, and a rear camera setup that could comprise a 50MP main lens and a 13MP ultra wide lens alongside a main sensor.
Meanwhile, handset maker Realme has confirmed that the Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition will come with the just-launched Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 SoC. OnePlus, in a Weibo post, has teased a model featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. According to OnePlus, the upcoming smartphone will hit the market in Q3 of this year.
