Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, along with his wife Priscilla Chan, has landed in Jamnagar for the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Upon their arrival at the airport, they received a warm reception with white garlands and a traditional dance performance, said a report by agency PTI. The Ambani family is set to host an extravagant three-day pre-wedding celebration starting on Friday, March 1, with attendees expected from various fields.
Earlier in the day, pop icon Rihanna arrived in Jamnagar to join the lineup of prominent artists scheduled to perform at the event.
"Zuckerberg, along with his wife Priscilla Chan, arrived in Jamnagar earlier today to attend the pre-wedding festivities of Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant," PTI posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Among the distinguished guests are former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Google's President Donald Harrison, former Bolivian President Jorge Quiroga, former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, and World Economic Forum Chairperson Klaus Schwab.
Jamnagar is also anticipated to host CEO and MD of ADNOC, Dr Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of bp, Murray Auchincloss, Chairman and Founder of Colony Capital, Thomas Barrack, CEO of JC2 Ventures, John Chambers, Former CEO of bp, Bob Dudley, President of Global Development at BMGF, Christopher Elias, Executive Chairman at Exor, John Elkann, and CEO of Endeavor, Ari Emanuel.
At Jogwad village near Reliance Township in Jamnagar, Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, along with other family members, including Radhika Merchant, served traditional Gujarati food to villagers. Radhika's maternal grandmother and her parents, Viren and Shaila Merchant, also joined in the "anna seva".
On July 12, Anant Ambani, the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, will tie the knot with Radhika Merchant, the younger daughter of Viren Merchant, CEO of Encore Healthcare, and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The three-day pre-wedding festivities will adhere to a themed schedule detailed in the "Event Guide" provided to guests.
Chartered flights have been organised to ferry guests to and from Jamnagar, originating from Delhi and Mumbai. Anant and Radhika have been engaged since January of the previous year.
