New Delhi: In a fix for dropped call issues, Apple has started to roll out iOS 15.1.1 update for the new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max models. According to the release note, the update fixes the call-drop performance issues on the mentioned iPhone models.

Several iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 users have recently experienced consistent dropped calls on their devices, preventing them from receiving incoming calls. This OTA update, said to be a little over 1.4GB in size, is providing a fix for the issue.

Those willing to update to the latest iOS 15.1.1 can do so from the Settings app on their devices. However, this one is a fairly minor update. The iOS 15.2 update is likely to bring significant features to the iPhone lineup.

The release of the iOS 15.1.1 arrives almost a month after the Cupertino, California-headquartered tech giant launched iOS 15.1, which enabled its long-awaited SharePlay feature. SharePlay feature lets users watch movies and shows or listen to music with friends on a FaceTime call. This also lets you send whatever you're watching on the iPhone to an Apple TV.

Meanwhile, in another news, Apple is likely to sell more than 80 million iPhones in the holiday quarter from October through December, according to a report from earlier this week.

According to Daniel Ives, lead analyst at Wedbush, demand for iPhones in this busy holiday season is outpacing supply by 15 per cent. The famed Apple analyst mentioned that the iPhone maker will sell around 40 million iPhone units between Black Friday and Christmas alone, thus, leading to a record holiday pace for the Cupertino, California-based company.
