You might be shocked to see the amount of storage that the app WhatsApp consumes on your handsets. This gets worse, especially for the avid users or Indian parents who kick off their mornings by sending 10 forwarded GIFs or videos to wish us "Good Morning." In between all these GIFs and videos, somewhere our important chats get lost. Fortunately, WhatsApp allows us to store secure backups of our chats and media files on Google Drive and iCloud, restorable solely within the app.

Further, Android users can also export their WhatsApp conversations to view, share, or print across devices. Fret not, we have prepared a detailed guide that you can follow to export WhatsApp conversations as PDF files.

Before we begin with the guide, it is important to note that this feature is exclusive to mobile platforms only. As for WhatsApp desktop app users be it on Mac or Windows, they won't be able to do this as the feature is not available on them.

Another thing to note is that the settings are different for iOS users. For them, the file is stored as a .zip extension whereas if we talk about Android users, exported data encompasses messages and media exclusively, omitting call logs and status updates.
