Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date for the Xiaomi 14 in India. The Chinese manufacturer conveyed the launch date through a post on X. Earlier, the company had provided a glimpse of its collaboration with Leica on the official Xiaomi India X (formerly known as Twitter) page. The Xiaomi 14 series is set to make its global debut on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). These handsets were initially introduced in China in October last year. Simultaneously, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is set to be launched in China on February 22.
In a post on X, Xiaomi India has confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 is scheduled to be launched in India on March 7. It is expected that the phone will be available in India a few weeks after its global launch and several months after its initial unveiling in China. According to Xiaomi's teaser, it appears that only the standard Xiaomi 14 variant may be released in India, and there may not be launches for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Pro in the country.
Xiaomi 14 China Specifications
In China, the Xiaomi 14 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and features a 6.36-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. Similar specifications are expected for the Indian version, including up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of the camera setup, co-engineered with Leica, the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 14 boasts a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens, along with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor. Additionally, the handset is IP68 rated and houses a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi also confirmed that it will introduce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra later this week in China. The Ultra variant will feature a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 sensor with an f/1.63 aperture and a Leica Summilux optical lens. It will also include dual telephoto cameras equipped with 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors.
