The Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup's launch may be sooner than expected in India as the vanilla Galaxy S23 from Samsung has been spotted on India's certification website Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), says a report SamMobile. The Galaxy S23 lineup is expected to include three models, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S23+ and the vanilla Galaxy S23.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is the much-awaited flagship lineup from Samsung and it is being said that the tech giant will host its first Unpacked event of 2023, in the first week of February where it will officially unveil the Galaxy S23 lineup. The Galaxy Unpacked event will be the first in-person event since the coronavirus pandemic and it may take place in San Francisco.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the Galaxy S23 has received Indian BIS certification and NBTC certification, which further indicates the lineup's launch.

It should be noted that Samsung is expected to launch its flagship Galaxy S23 series a little earlier than this year and a previous report suggests that the Galaxy S23 lineup will borrow a feature from Apple iPhone 14 and also upgrade its fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy S23 series is likely to feature the satellite connectivity that we have seen in this year's iPhone 14 lineup, says a previous report by tech publication ETNews.


The South Korean tech giant has joined hands with partner Iridium Communications to bring some sort of satellite communication system to the Galaxy S23 line, the report added. Iridium Communications is into providing voice calling and data communication services through 66 low-orbit satellites. Samsung has been working with Iridium for close to two years to bring the satellite connectivity feature to its smartphones.


Samsung's flagship Galaxy S23 is expected to launch in early 2023 and a key highlight of the lineup will be the Galaxy S23 Ultra which is likely to launch with a 200MP primary camera. Initial leaks and rumours suggest that Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra's 200MP camera may be better than the 200MP camera found in Xiaomi 12T Pro, for example. According to famed leakster Ice Universe, the 200MP camera in the Galaxy S23 may be the "best the world has ever seen".
