Additionally, a South Korean news outlet suggests that Samsung is exploring the idea of launching the Galaxy S25 FE as a 'slim' model, featuring a thinner design paired with a larger battery.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Will Reportedly Be Powered By MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Chipset?
According to a recent post by tipster @jukanlosreve on X (formerly known as Twitter), Samsung had previously been in talks with MediaTek to equip the Galaxy S25 series with the company’s new Dimensity 9400 chipset. However, these discussions have reportedly taken a different turn. The tipster suggests that Samsung’s upcoming flagship models — the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra — will likely feature Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, slated for early 2025.
In contrast, the Galaxy S25 FE could potentially be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, marking a shift from this year’s Galaxy S24 FE, which utilised Samsung’s own Exynos 2400e processor. This would position the Galaxy S25 FE with a high-performing chipset from MediaTek for next year’s release.
This indicates that Samsung may not use successors to the Exynos 2400 or the slightly underclocked Exynos 2400e chipsets in its forthcoming S-series models. However, it's important to remember that the Galaxy S25 series is anticipated to launch in early 2025, whereas the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to be introduced a few months later. As with all rumors, it’s wise to remain cautious and await further information from the company before drawing any conclusions.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Will Be Slimmer? Here's What We Know
According to a report from The Elec (in Korean), Samsung is considering developing a slim version of the Galaxy S25 FE. Unlike the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, which are expected to be released in early 2025, the new Fan Edition (FE) model likely won’t arrive until the third quarter of that year.
The slim Galaxy S25 FE is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch display, similar to the current Galaxy S24 FE. To achieve a sleeker design, Samsung may opt to enlarge the battery's surface area while making it thinner, according to the report. Notably, Samsung isn’t the only tech giant exploring slimmer flagship phones—Apple is reportedly working on a slim iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim) that could launch next year as part of its iPhone 17 lineup.
