New Delhi: Samsung India on Thursday unveiled its much-anticipated flagship Galaxy S22 series in India that comprises the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ and the Samsung Galaxy S22. The price of the Galaxy S22 starts at Rs 72,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, the price of the Galaxy S22+ starts at Rs 84,999 for the base variant and the price of the Galaxy S22 Ultra for the 12GB/256GB variant starts at Rs 109,999. The highlight of the lineup this time is the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra that combines the best features of the Note and S series.

The S22 Ultra will go on sale in India starting March 11 via the Samsung e-store and other online and physical stores. The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will also be available in 8GB/256GB storage configurations and the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in 12GB/512GB storage option too. Pre-orders of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup will begin on February 23.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is made of a metal frame that creates a mirrored effect, courtesy of the glass and haze finish. The design language has a floating layout and sharp angles, similar to that of the Galaxy Note series. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has been unveiled in three colour options in India: Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Burgundy.


The Galaxy S22+ comes in India in three colours: Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Phantom Green. It goes on sale beginning March 11 via the same online and offline channels.

For the first time, the Galaxy S22 Series comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in India. The lineup comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and also has features such as Wi-Fi 6E, which is twice as fast as Wi-Fi 6. The Galaxy S22 Ultra supports 45W super-fast charging, so you can record more than 50 minutes of video after a 10-minute charge, the company said.
