Handset maker Xiaomi on Wednesday confirmed that it would refresh its smartwatch line with the Redmi Watch 3 Active in India next month. The Redmi Watch 3 Active would be officially unveiled in India on August 1, along with the Redmi 12 smartphone. According to known tipster Ishan Agarwal, the upcoming Redmi Watch Active 3 would be able to withstand water for three days, as spotted by 91Mobiles. The smartwatch would also have support for Bluetooth calling.

Redmi India also took to Twitter to announce the launch of Redmi Watch Active 3.






According to the official images teased by the company, the smartwatch would feature a metallic design, more than 100 sports modes, over 200 watch faces, 5 ATM water resistance, 24x7 health monitoring, up to 12 days of battery life and Bluetooth 5.3 for calling. The Redmi Watch 3 Active would start retailing in India mi.com and brick-and-mortar stores. The smartwatch is already on sale in Europe for 39.99 euros which roughly translates into Rs 3,685 approx. It is likely to be launched in India at a lower price point. The smartwatch is likely to be launched in India for Rs 2,500 and it would compete with homegrown models such as Fire-Boltt Combat, Apple Watch Ultra lookalike Boult Crown and NoiseFit Crew Pro smartwatch that has a round dial.

Meanwhile, Redmi 12 is set to be officially unveiled in India on August 1. The phone was earlier launched in June in several regions globally. The handset is likely to be launched in the affordable smartphone category which is not seeing a lot of launches these days. The Redmi 12 would go on sale on e-commerce platform Amazon.in and Flipkart. A new leak suggests that the phone would be launched in two colourways in India. The device has already been released in Thailand and a few other markets, globally.
