Handset maker Xiaomi India on Thursday unveiled its first smartphone series of 2023, the Redmi Note 12 series, which comprises three smartphones in the mid-segment. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is the priciest among the three, followed by the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and the vanilla Redmi Note 12 5G.
The Redmi Note 12 5G will be available for Rs 17,999 for the 4GB+128GB model and Rs 19,999 for the 6GB+128GB model on Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and Mi Studio and the company's authorised retail partners. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will be available for Rs 24,999 for the 6GB+128GB model, Rs 26,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant and Rs 27,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G on the other hand will be available for Rs 29,999 for the 8GB+256GB model and Rs 32,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant.

The price of Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G starts at Rs 29,999 while the price of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G started at Rs 20,999.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC.
Display
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G features a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G came with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
Primary camera
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G sports a 200MP+8MP+2MP primary camera setup while the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G was launched with 108MP+8MP+2MP triple primary cameras.
Operating system
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 whereas the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G was launched with Android 11-based Xiaomi's custom Android skin.
Battery
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is powered by a 4,980mAh battery with 120W fast charging support while the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G was launched with a 5,000mAh battery.
