Qualcomm is set to announce the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which was initially anticipated to be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, next week. Recently, performance details of this upcoming chipset have surfaced online. A benchmark result for the rumored Realme GT 7 Pro indicates that the Snapdragon 8 Elite may deliver a significant boost in performance over its predecessor, potentially surpassing both MediaTek's newly launched Dimensity 9400 SoC and Apple's A18 Pro chip used in the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Snapdragon 8 Elite's Leaked AnTuTu Benchmark Score Beats A18 Pro Chip
Tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks), in partnership with Smartprix, has shared an image revealing the anticipated Realme GT 7 Pro, which is expected to launch soon. This smartphone reportedly achieved an impressive score of 3,025,991 on the AnTuTu benchmark test. It is set to be among the first devices powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will be officially announced during the Snapdragon Summit on October 21.

The leaked image also compares the Realme GT 7 Pro with the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which received a significantly lower score of 1,651,728. Apple's flagship phone was introduced last month and features the A18 Pro chip, its most powerful smartphone processor to date. However, it's important to note that the benchmark tool utilizes Vulkan for Android and Metal for iOS, which can affect comparisons between the two platforms.
Realme's upcoming flagship phone is not the first to surpass the 3 million mark on AnTuTu. Last month, the Vivo X200, equipped with MediaTek's 3nm Dimensity 9400 chipset, achieved a score of 3,007,853 points on the benchmarking platform. Based on these tests, Qualcomm's chip seems to have a slight edge over its competitor.
Additionally, the recently launched Oppo Find X8 was previously evaluated on AnTuTu, earning a score of 2,880,558 points, which was the highest score on the platform at that time. This device also utilizes the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is expected to be featured in other flagship smartphones in the upcoming year.
