New Delhi: The Realme 9 series may comprise four models in India and the lineup will be unveiled in the country in the first quarter of next year, a new report says. The Realme 9 series could include Realme 9 Pro, and Realme 9 Pro+/Max, Realme 9 and Realme 9i. Earlier, the Realme 9 series was tipped to be launched in October, but the handset maker has said that series will be launched next year.

Earlier in September, Francis Wong, CMO of Realme had announced that the launch of the Realme 9 series is being postponed to 2022 in the wake of the global chip crisis.

"The tech industry has been largely impacted by the global shortage of CPUs. Brands can either make an agile product portfolio or compromise on the processors to use. We have quickly adjusted our product roadmap and hence #realme9series will be delayed to 2022," Wong had tweeted from his handle @FrancisRealme.

Now, a new report suggests that the Realme 9 series will be unveiled in India next year and in two separate launch events. The handset maker is mulling to launch all four models in the Realme 9 series in India in February, tipster Mukul Sharma was quoted in a report by 91Mobiles.

However, the smartphone maker is yet to make an announcement regarding these smartphones.

The upcoming Realme 9 series is likely to arrive with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset that was unveiled earlier this year and has support for 5G connectivity. Also, the upcoming lineup may sport 108MP cameras and have AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to previous rumours.
