Oppo on Monday introduced the Find X7 Ultra in the Chinese market, unveiling a smartphone equipped with dual periscope cameras. Emphasising its camera capabilities, Oppo claims the device hosts "the largest telephoto sensor found in any smartphone." Fueled by Qualcomm's latest powerhouse, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Find X7 Ultra boasts a quad-camera setup, all tuned by Hasselblad and featuring 50-megapixel lenses.

It's important to note that the Oppo Find X7 Ultra will initially be exclusive to the Chinese market. The base model, featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 71,300). Meanwhile, the 16GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB variants are available for CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs 77,300) and CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs 83,215), respectively.

Branded as the 'HyperTone Camera System,' the primary camera incorporates Sony's second-generation 1-inch sensor (LYT-900) with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture.

The ultrawide sensor utilises the newly introduced Sony LYT-600 sensor, sporting an f/2.0 aperture and a 14mm focal length. Notably, it can capture objects as close as 4cm. Oppo employs two periscope telephoto lenses, featuring the Sony IMX980 sensor for 3x optical zoom and the Sony IMX858 sensor for 6x optical zoom. Additionally, the company highlights support for 12x AI-enhanced zoom, covering focal lengths from 14mm to 270mm.

Addressing software enhancements, Oppo introduces the 'HyperTone Image Engine' to manage HDR, over-sharpening, and over-exposure. This software upgrade will extend to existing devices like the Find N and Reno series in the near future. The Find X7 Ultra runs on ColorOS 14, based on Android 14 out of the box.
