Handset maker Oppo has announced that it would launch the Oppo F21s Pro series in India on September 15. According to Oppo, the camera setup on the Oppo F21s Pro would come with 30x zoom support. The Oppo F21s Pro lineup may comprise the Oppo F21s Pro and vanilla Oppo F21s, the media has reported.


The Oppo F21s Pro Series would be launched in a new colour, which Oppo is calling Dawnlight Gold colour with proprietary "Oppo Glow technology".

The Oppo F21s Pro would be launched with a segment-first microlens camera, which claims to let users explore and capture rich microscopic details of the objects around them with its 15x and 30x magnification capabilities. The handset maker has also teamed up with actor Varun Dhawan for its latest campaign #BeautyInEverything ahead of the launch of the Oppo F21s Pro series.


"Create new perspective and experience the extraordinary beauty in everyday objects around you with up to 30X magnification. Made possible with the powerful Segment 1st Microlens Camera on the OPPO F21s Pro. Launching on 15th September," Oppo India tweeted on Monday.


A dedicated landing page on Oppo's website was recently spotted which teased some of the key specifications of the upcoming Oppo F21s Pro series. The smartphone lineup would come with a Sony IMX709 selfie camera sensor that would be housed inside a hole-punch cutout on the screen.

Meanwhile, Oppo recently seems to have taken a cue from the likes of Apple and Samsung and has decided to stop including chargers in the box with new devices within the next 12 months. This also comes after Oppo's rival Xiaomi stopped chargers within the box in select markets.


According to a recent report by Android Police, in an interview during the European launch of the Oppo Reno 8 series, Oppo’s President of Overseas Sales and Services, Billy Zhang mentioned that the company would stop providing chargers alongside several Oppo smartphone models next year. Zhang was quoted as saying in the report: “We will take the charger out of the box in the next year for several products. We have a plan.”


Other smartphones that are slated to launch this month in India include Redmi 11 Prime 5G and Vivo V25 among others.
