OnePlus is poised to introduce its latest innovation, the OnePlus Watch 2, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, today (February 26). A dedicated Amazon microsite unveils plans for the smartwatch to debut in India alongside its global launch. Ahead of its scheduled debut, the OnePlus Watch 2 made an appearance at the FCC. The certification process unveiled a ket detail: the smartwatch will be equipped with a big 500mAh battery, which is noteworthy for a smartwatch.

Putting things into perspective, it's worth mentioning that the original OnePlus Watch boasted a 402mAh battery, while Samsung's larger-sized Galaxy Watch 6 operates with a 425 mAh battery. The upcoming OnePlus Watch 2 stands out with its bigger 500mAh battery. However, it's worth noting that Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 Pro currently leads the pack with its robust 590mAh battery capacity.

OnePlus Watch 2 Price Leaked

According to tipster Ishan Agrawal, the OnePlus Watch 2 will retail for Rs 24,999 in India, $299 in the US, 329 Euros in Europe, and 299 pounds in the UK. This comes just ahead of the official unveiling of the smartwatch.

"After a three-year hiatus and a reflective pause following the OnePlus Watch 1, the Watch 2 re-emerged, and we are more confident than ever about this product. This confidence is not unfounded, it's built on a foundation of substantial advancements in our technological ecosystem and capabilities. Watch 2 indicates our determination to transform from 'Flagship Killer' to 'Ecosystem builder'. It will provide you with experience that's not just improved, but transformed," Kinder Liu, COO and President of OnePlus, said in a statement last week.

OnePlus Watch 2 Specs And Features (Expected)

According to previous rumours and leaks, the OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to boast a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, an increase from the previous 1.39-inch screen on The original OnePlus Watch. The smartwatch is anticipated to maintain its circular dial, metal casing, and two side buttons, along with a speaker grille for Bluetooth calling, as indicated by the already leaked renders.

Other anticipated features include the continuation of GPS functionality, along with 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance. Additionally, owing to its expected transition to WearOS from RTOS, the OnePlus Watch 2 may come equipped with a larger battery compared to the 402mAh battery found in the first OnePlus Watch.

This launch on OnePlus Watch 2 is poised to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series and the Pixel Watch 2 in India. Whether it will be priced lower than these competitors remains to be seen, with answers expected in just a few days.
