While OnePlus is said to be weeks away from the launch of its first foldable device, the purported OnePlus V Fold, leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 12 have already started to surface. According to initial leaks about the OnePlus 12, the smartphone is likely to get a big upgrade in the camera department and get a periscope camera. As per the leaked renders by SmartPrix in collaboration with OnLeaks, four images of the OnePlus 12 have surfaced.
The leaked renders show OnePlus 12 in black colour with a glossy back. OnePlus will most likely release more colour options at the time of launch, which is still not clear. In terms of design language, there won't be much difference from this year's OnePlus 11. It would likely have the same huge circular camera module at the back, but the camera would get a significant upgrade in the form of a periscope camera on the OnePlus 12. The LED flash seems to have moved to the top-left corner of the camera.
The front side may have a bezel-less screen with a selfie camera moved from the corner to the centre of the screen. The alert slider and power button are placed on the right side and the volume keys are on the left.

Late last month, OnLeaks and SmartPrix had shared images of the OnePlus V Fold with a rear that has a centre-aligned camera module that has three camera units and a Hasselblad label. The foldable smartphone space is seeing stiff competition from handset makers like Oppo and Tecno which have unveiled their Oppo Find N2 Flip and Tecno Phantom V foldable devices. The latter, interestingly, is the first foldable phone to be unveiled under Rs 1 lakh. Samsung is also set to refresh its foldable portfolio this month.
