London-based Nothing has begun teasing its upcoming device, and it has hinted at an "exceptional new mobile in the works." The company took to social media to drum up excitement, sharing a cryptic message on its official X account, formerly Twitter. The post featured the intriguing phrase "Plus. More. Extra."
Nothing on Thursday revealed its latest product plans, announcing the release of the Nothing Phone 2a Plus. This new iteration of the Phone 2a is set to debut in India and will also be available in international markets. The announcement comes close to the heels of the Phone 2a special edition, which was introduced in May.

This reveal is also part of Nothing's recent string of product launches, following shortly after the introduction of the budget CMF Phone 1. The CMF Phone 1 marked a significant milestone for the company as the inaugural smartphone offering under its CMF sub-brand.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus May Have Similarities With Nothing Phone 2a
Some rumours suggest that the upcoming product will be similar to the Nothing Phone 2a model released earlier in the year. However, the key difference could lie in its screen size, with leaks pointing towards a more expansive display. This aligns with the "Plus" reference in the Nothing's teaser, a term often used in the mobile industry to denote larger variants of existing models.
The Nothing Phone 2a, which debuted earlier this year as the next generation of Nothing's smartphone line, has seen multiple editions since its launch. These include a Blue Edition exclusive to the Indian market and a Special Edition Nothing Phone 2a. In a recent statement, Nothing's chief executive revealed that the company's next flagship model, the Nothing Phone 3, is scheduled for release in 2025. This upcoming device will incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) features in a smartphone, rather than presenting an entirely new AI-centric product.
As the launch date for the Nothing Phone 2a Plus approaches, more information about its features and specifications are expected to emerge in the coming days. With less than two weeks until its official unveiling.
Now, London-based Nothing is in the final stages of developing a Community Edition, with the marketing campaign set to conclude on August 2nd.
