Nothing OS 3.0 Update: What's New
- Camera Updates: The camera experience has been enhanced with quicker access through widgets, faster HDR processing, and improved portrait effects that dynamically adjust blur intensity based on the subject's size. Low-light performance has also been upgraded, and the zoom slider now features a redesigned interface for greater ease of use.
- Native Gallery App: There is now a dedicated gallery app with sophisticated features like better search options and improved editing tools. These consist of automated recommendations to enhance photo management, markup features, and filters.
- Improved Pop-up View: An improved pop-up view that enables resizing by dragging the bottom corners and pinning to the screen edge for easy access has improved multitasking. Without leaving the current app, you can preview notifications by swiping down the pop-up. You can activate this option by going to Settings > System > Pop-up View.
- Lock Screen Enhancements: There are now more possibilities to customise the lock screen thanks to an enhanced interface that can be accessed by long pressing. Updated clock faces and a larger widget area allow users to customise their lock screens and provide rapid access to more information.
- Shared Widgets: Users may now view and interact with widgets from another person's device straight on their home screen thanks to the update's new feature, Shared Widgets. Reactions are what enable interaction. This functionality initially only works with Nothing devices and supports square-formatted Photo Widgets. In the future, the firm intends to add support for other widget types.
- Productivity Widgets: To increase productivity, new utility-focused widgets have been released, like the Countdown Widget. Later this month, this widget will be accessible on Google Play through the Nothing Widgets app.
- Smart Drawer: The AI-powered Smart Drawer intelligently groups apps into folders, improving accessibility and management. For easy access, favourite apps can be pinned to the drawer's top.
- Quick Settings: A more intuitive structure has been added to the Quick Settings menu. Usability is enhanced by updated graphics in the Settings menu and widget library, particularly in areas like Network & Internet and Bluetooth.
