New Delhi: The Realme GT 2 series comprising the Relame GT 2 Pro and Realme GT 2 were unveiled at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 in Barcelona on Monday. As the most premium flagship line-up ever from the smartphone maker, the Realme GT 2 series marks the brand's entry into the high-end market. Both the devices will go on sale starting March 11 in Europe. The India launch of the Realme GT 2 Pro and Realme GT 2 are not known.


Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Realme GT 2 Pro will be priced starting 649 euros or roughly Rs 55,000 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 powered Realme GT 2 will start at 449 euros or Rs 38,000 in early-bird sales.

In order to provide users the experience of 5G products across Europe, Realme has partnered with major European carriers including Vodafone, Orange, and Deutsche Telecom, starting with the Realme GT 2 through Vodafone and Deutsche Telecom’s online and offline stores. Special early-bird offers and trendy pop-up store joint initiatives will also be tailored by Realme in partnership with the carriers and other partners to provide customers with an engaging experience.


The Realme GT 2 features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ display with support for refresh rates up to 120Hz while the Realme GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate. According to Realme, this is the world's first flat, ultra-high-resolution screen to be certified A+ by DisplayMate.


Realme has joined hands with Naoto Fukasawa, a popular Japanese industrial designer, to come up with the world's first bio-polymer design that ensures lower carbon emissions, while the material used to build the phone has been derived from bio-waste and residue.



Other launches at the MWC 2022 include the Honor Magic 4 series, the 150W fast charging tech by Oppo that will be featured in a OnePlus smartphone soon.
