Motorola has begun teasing the audience about its upcoming X50 series along with its first ever 'Ultra' device with speculated AI features. The Motorola X50 Ultra is set to make its debut initially in China, with potential global availability, similar to the Moto X40 series. The company has begun teasing the AI phone online, providing a preview of what to expect at the official launch event. Moreover, reports suggest that the Moto X50 Ultra AI capabilities will resemble those found in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.

As per a Weibo post, Motorola provided a sneak peek of the Moto X50 Ultra along with their Formula 1 collaboration, suggesting that the design might draw inspiration from racing events. The post also emphasised the inclusion of 'AI Mobile Phone'. Consequently, the upcoming Motorola device will introduce the first 'Ultra' variant with AI capabilities. There are speculations that the Moto X50 Ultra could feature generative AI capabilities similar to those seen in the Galaxy S24.



The smartphone is set to debut initially in China before a global launch. While the company hasn't disclosed the launch date, some reports suggest an announcement in April.


The teaser video for the Moto X50 Ultra reveals an elegant faux leather finish coupled with a distinctive rectangular camera module. According to details from GSMArena, the smartphone is anticipated to boast a robust 4500mAh battery, potentially supporting rapid 125W charging. Performance-wise, there are expectations of the Moto X50 Ultra being equipped with either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset or the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC to enhance its AI capabilities.



With the speculated specifications and advanced generative AI features, the smartphone is poised for a debut in the premium market segment. Moreover, if the smartphone hits the Indian market, it might undergo rebranding as part of the Motorola Edge 50 series.
