Microsoft has recently unveiled Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 for business. The tech giant has embarked on what it has dubbed the “year of the AI PC” with the launch of these two devices. Both are the first in the Surface lineup to be engineered specifically for the corporate sector. The devices boast a dedicated Copilot button for AI assistance, integration of Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to optimise AI-driven tasks within Windows 11. These features among many others position them as the pioneering AI-enabled PCs for the professional market.

Microsoft Surface Pro 10 is customisable, however, the configuration options are extensive. It will offer up to 64GB of RAM and a starting point of 8GB, along with a 256GB Gen4 SSD. The base model is priced at $1,199 (Rs 1,66,620).

Microsoft Surface Laptop 6's price for the base model also starts from $1,199. It also offers the same customisation options as Surface Pro 10.

Microsoft's emphasis on catering to the business sector is apparent in the exclusivity of these devices, which can be obtained solely through its commercial channels and authorised resellers.

Nevertheless, consumers interested in acquiring them may still do so indirectly. Microsoft reaffirms its dedication to consumer products, with intentions to introduce consumer versions of these devices during a dedicated event focusing on Windows and Surface AI innovations.

Microsoft Surface Pro 10: Specifications & Features

The Surface Pro 10 for Business has undergone improvements in its display, featuring an anti-reflective coating and increased brightness. However, it opts for a high-quality LCD instead of OLED technology, despite speculation about an OLED model. Microsoft confirmed this decision but hinted at future announcements without providing specific details.

In terms of design, the Surface Pro 10 for Business closely resembles its predecessor, the Surface Pro 9. However, it introduces upgraded internal components, offering a choice between Intel Core Ultra 5 135U and Core Ultra 7 165U processors.

Microsoft has also enhanced connectivity options, incorporating two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, and boasts an impressive battery life of up to 19 hours.

The 15-inch variant offers enhanced connectivity with the inclusion of two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, adding versatility for professional applications. It is equipped with Intel's Core Ultra H-series processors, designed to provide powerful desktop-level performance in a compact and portable design.

Customers have the option to select either the 13.5-inch or 15-inch PixelSense touchscreen displays, ensuring clear visuals regardless of the lighting conditions. These displays incorporate anti-reflective and adaptive colour technologies, minimising glare and improving visibility.

Moreover, the 15-inch Surface Laptop 6 includes an integrated smart card reader, catering specifically to high-security sectors by enabling password-less authentication with NFC security keys.
