iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to be unveiled before the world in the second half of 2024 with a few design tweaks. Some leaks regarding the design and specifications has also surfaced till now. Recently, another leak has been made regarding the device. A leaked image is doing rounds on X which shows two cases for the iPhone 16 models. Though it doesn't make everything crystal clear it still gives us a good idea of what to expect from the successors to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

This year, the standard models of iPhone 16 are likely to feature a vertical capsule-shaped layout, replacing the square camera island with rounded edges which we saw in the iPhone 15 series and other models that preceded it.

Tipster Sonny Dickson shared a leaked image on X (formerly Twitter) showing two smartphone cases. The case on the left side seems slightly larger, indicating it could be designed for the iPhone 16 Plus, while the one on the right could be for the standard model. Both cases feature a vertical rear camera bump and a plastic cutout for the LED flash positioned beside the camera island.

iPhone 16 Series To Sport Dual Vertical Camera Setup (Expected)

While the potential new camera layout has been speculated for some time now, MacRumors suggests that the upcoming iPhone models might feature a dual rear camera setup aligned vertically to support spatial recording. This feature is reportedly not available on the iPhone 15 due to its diagonal camera arrangement.

In the upcoming iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to introduce the Action button, previously seen on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, to all four models. The leaked cases also indicate the presence of the Action button on the standard iPhone 16 models, along with a cutout for the rumoured 'Capture' button, anticipated to debut later this year.

Additionally, a recent image shared by the same tipster showcases what could be the Capture button on the purported iPhone 16 Pro model. Furthermore, leaked information suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may be available in four different colour options upon their release later in the year.
