Apple is going to release iOS 16.1 on Monday (October 24) along with the iPadOS and macOS Ventura, the iPhone maker has confirmed. iOS 16.1 will be the next iterative update to iOS 16 which was released earlier last month. The iOS 16.1 is likely to bring some improvements and major bug fixes with the iOS 16.1.

There could be eight main features that iOS 16.1 will bring. The main features that will be rolled out with iOS 16.1 include iCloud Shared Photo Library and Live Activities support in third-party apps on the Apple App Store. Another big highlight of iOS 16.1 will be the ability to use Apple Fitness+ without an Apple Watch.

Apple Fitness+ will be fully integrated with the Fitness app and will be available in 21 countries, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, the UAE, the UK and the US.

With iOS 16.1, Fitness+ will be fully integrated with the Fitness app and located in the middle tab, where users can already stay motivated to close their Move ring through coaching, awards, activity sharing, and more. Users only need an iPhone to sign up, and can then experience Fitness+ on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, the company has confirmed.
