A new leak suggests that handset maker Infinix is preparing to launch its maiden tablet, the purported Infinix Xpad. This news follows initial rumours from last month about the company's foray into the tablet market. A substantial leak has now emerged, providing what appear to be official renders of the device along with detailed specifications.

As with all leaks, it's important to note that these details are unofficial and subject to change and therefore should be taken with a pinch of salt. We need to wait for Infinix's official announcement to confirm the final specifications and features of the Xpad.

Infinix Xpad Expected Display, Specs, Features

The tablet is said to feature an 11-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is reportedly the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset.

The leaked specifications indicate 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded. The camera setup is said to include a dual rear system (12 MP + 8 MP) and an 8 MP front-facing camera. A 7,000 mAh battery is reportedly included to provide power. The Xpad is expected to run on Android 14 with Infinix's custom XOS interface. It's worth noting that the tablet appears to be Wi-Fi only, without cellular data capabilities.

Given these specifications, which could be considered entry-level for 2024, the pricing strategy will likely be crucial for the Xpad's success in the market. The 4GB RAM configuration, in particular, may raise questions about performance for some users, considering current Android device standards.

While an exact release date has not been confirmed, the increase in leaks suggests that an official announcement may be imminent. As always, it's advisable to wait for official information from Infinix for verified details about the Xpad.

The leaked images of the Infinix XPAD reveal a distinctive square camera module on the rear, housing two cameras and an LED flash. As the device is reportedly a Wi-Fi-only tablet, it appears to lack a SIM card slot. While not visible in the available images, it's speculated that the tablet may feature a USB Type-C port and charging vents along its bottom edge.

In terms of physical dimensions, the leak indicates the Infinix tablet will measure 257.07 x 168.62 x 7.58 mm and tip the scales at 496 grams.
