Android 14 is now rolling out to all eligible Google Pixel devices. With Android 14, Pixel users will be able to create unique wallpapers on their phone's lock screen using generative artificial intelligence (AI). Apart from this, Google has added a lot of AI capabilities to Android 14. Teh stable update was announced during the launch of the Google Pixel 8 series at the Made by Google event. Top Android 14 Features
As mentioned, Google has added a range of AI capabilities with Android 14. Some of the notable changes to Android 14 include the "Monochrome theme" wherein a user can set this all-black-and-white theme in OS and get a minimalistic look and feel. An Android 14 user can also access app shortcuts on the lock screen and change different aspects. They can change the colours, fonts, formats and widgets, similar to what Apple did with iOS 16 last year.
The improved customisation of the lock screen on Android 14 brings the Pixel phones on par with iPhones and Samsung's Galaxy phones, in terms of customisation.
With Android 14, on-device photos and videos will be presented in HDR quality. This is subject to smartphones with HDR-supported displays.
The OS also makes passwordless login possible with passkeys. With Android 14, users will be able to log into websites and applications without typing in their passwords.
