Originally available for only Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 users, Google's Magic Eraser tool has now been made available along with several other photo editing tools, for all Google One subscribers, therefore, making the Magic Eraser tool also available for all Google One plan users on the Google Photos app. Google is known for rolling out new features to its own line of Pixel phones before introducing them to other Android phones like Samsung as well as Apple iPhone.

“Now we’re bringing Magic Eraser and other enhanced editing features to more people. Starting today, Google One members — on both Android and iOS — and all Pixel users will be able to enjoy Magic Eraser, a new HDR video effect and exclusive collage styles. Plus, Google One members will get free shipping on print orders. Take a look at how you can use these tools to make the most of your memories,” Dina Berrada, Director of Product Management, Google Photos and Esteban Kozak, Director of Product Management, Google One, said in a statement.

The Magic Eraser's features are available now on the Google Photos app. However, the app may have to be updated on your phone to use them.

The ability to use Magic Eraser will bring respite users who think they have the perfect shot, only to discover distractions in the background. Magic Eraser detects distractions in photos, like photobombers or power lines, so the users can remove them in just a few taps. The user can also circle or brush other things they want to erase and Magic Eraser will make them disappear. Camouflage in Magic Eraser can change the colour of objects as well in the photo to help them blend in naturally with the rest of the photo, thus, putting the focus on what matters.

"To give you even more choices when you’re putting together collages in Google Photos, we’re adding a few updates to the collage editor. First, all Google Photos users can now apply Styles to a single photo in the collage editor. Second, a range of new Styles are coming to the collage editor for Google One members and Pixel users, so you have more designs to choose from when making your collages," Berrada and Kozak added.
