Google on Tuesday (August 13, 2024) launched the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 across the globe at the Made By Google event which was live streamed on YouTube on Google's channel named 'Made By Google'. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 feature a newly custom-built Tensor A1 chip, delivering top-tier audio performance, enhanced Google AI, and superior noise cancellation. The earbuds have undergone a redesign to ensure optimal comfort and a more secure fit. By analysing 45 million ear scans and conducting extensive wear tests, Google crafted the Pixel Buds Pro 2 to be their most comfortable and securely fitting earbuds yet.


Additionally, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are 24 per cent lighter and 27 per cent smaller compared to the original Pixel Buds Pro.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 will hit the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 22,900.


They will arrive in four colour options, namely: Porcelain, Hazel, Wintergreen, and Peony.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are powered by the new Tensor A1 chip, which Google credits with reducing the size of the earbuds by 27 per cent, making them lighter, while also enhancing performance and extending battery life. According to Google, the Tensor A1 chip processes audio 90 times faster than the speed of sound and doubles the noise cancellation effectiveness. The earbuds also come equipped with Gemini.


The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 feature Silent Seal 2.0, which is claimed to offer twice the active noise cancellation. They also include a twist-to-adjust stabiliser for a secure fit. Additionally, the earbuds utilise AI to automatically pause music when you begin speaking or receive a call, switching to transparency mode, and then resuming the preset mode when the conversation ends. The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 also supports Find My Device, clear calling, and spatial audio.


The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 have 11 mm drivers, and they offer a 30-hour playtime with the case and eight hours with ANC.
