The Google Pixel 8a has been the subject of rumours for several months now. While Google has not officially confirmed the existence of the Pixel 7a successor, indications of its arrival have surfaced as the handset was reportedly spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website. The Pixel 8a is anticipated to feature wireless charging and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. Its debut is expected to take place at the Google I/O 2024 event scheduled for May.
According to information found on the FCC listing, initially reported by Droidlife, a Google phone with model numbers G8HNN, GKV4X, G6GPR, and G576D has been identified. These model numbers are believed to represent different versions of the Pixel 8a. Notably, Google used a similar numbering system for last year's Pixel 7a. The model number G6GPR was previously mentioned in a retail box leak back in January.
