The tipster has further claimed that the Pixel 6a will be unveiled in the country by the end of July. Even though the tech giant did not Google officially confirm the Pixel 6a's launch date in India, it has confirmed that the phone will be available in India. The Pixel 6a will launch with a 5nm Tensor chipset.
The Pixel a-series smartphones follow the same design trend similar to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with a raised horizontal camera bump, and a two-tone body. The Pixel 6a comes with a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout on the top for the front camera, while the rear gets a horizontally-aligned camera-bar spanning across the breadth, just like the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. In terms of imaging, the rear camera setup comprises a 12.2MP main camera. The software-based camera features include Magic Eraser and Nightsight come as add-ons.
For security, there is an under-display fingerprint scanner, dual microphones, stereo speakers and noise impression. The Google Pixel 6a is powered by a 5nm Tensor GS101 chipset, which also powers the other two Pixel 6 phones. Besides, there is 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of storage. The Pixel 6a comes with Android 12, a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The phone also has stereo speakers, Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC for connectivity.
At around Rs 40,000, the Pixel 6a will compete with the likes of OnePlus 9R, the iQoo 7 Legend, the Realme GT 5G among others.
