Meanwhile, Apple has set the price of the 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter at Rs 5,800.

The new Apple MacBook Pro includes up to 20 hours of battery life, alongside an 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU. It features 24GB of memory and 2TB of SSD storage space. At a starting price of $1,299, the new Apple MacBook Pro M2 is the most affordable performance laptop from the company. According to Apple, the Pro Res video conversions can run nearly three times faster on it.

“We’re so excited to bring our new M2 chip to the world’s two most popular laptops — the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, said in a statement.

“Completely redesigned around M2, MacBook Air is thinner, lighter, and faster with a bigger display, better camera, and all-day battery life, in four beautiful finishes. Only with Apple silicon can you build such a thin and light notebook with a fanless design, and this combination of performance and capabilities. M2 also comes to the 13-inch MacBook Pro, featuring incredible performance, ProRes acceleration, up to 24GB of memory, and up to 20 hours of battery life — making our most portable pro notebook even better.”

The system-on-a-chip design of M2 chip is built using enhanced, second-generation 5nm technology, and consists of 20 billion transistors which is 25 per cent more than M1 chip. The additional transistors improve features across the entire chip, including the memory controller that delivers 100GB/s of unified memory bandwidth which is 50 per cent more than M1.

The M2 chip also comes with Apple’s next-generation GPU with up to 10 cores which is two more than M1 chip.
