Apple is likely to release an upgraded Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Series 9 at its "Wonderlust" event tomorrow (September 12), alongside the much-anticipated iPhone 15 series. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 9 is going to get a significant upgrade over last year's Watch Series 8, which is the new version of Apple's optical heart rate sensor. The Apple Watch Ultra is likely to be unveiled in one size while the Watch Series 9 may come in two sizes.
In terms of upgrades, the purported Apple Watch Ultra 2 and the Apple Watch Series 9 are likely to feature new sensor and internal component upgrades that focus on accuracy, speed and efficiency. According to Gurman's Power On newsletter, Apple's Watch Series 9 and the second-gen Apple Watch Ultra will come with a new optical heart rate sensor. This would be a significant upgrade from the third-gen heart rate sensor on the Watch Series 8 and last year's Apple Watch Ultra.

iPhone 15 Series May Get New Pastel Colours
According to Apple Insider, the vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be launched in blue, yellow, white, black and pink or red options. The new colours look muted and very pastel, in line with what was suggested by previous rumours and renders. It should be noted that the black and white colour variants appear to be similar to the previous-gen models, with a glossy rear and matte sides. The white has pure silver sides, and the black looks completely black versus dark grey, the report added.
