X owner Elon Musk has been supporting Donald Trump quite vocally during the US Presidential Elections 2024 but now the tech titan has upped his game like a boss. Elon Musk on Saturday promised to give away $1 million every single day till the US Presidential elections to the person who signs his online petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms.
The petition, which has been launched on America PAC's website, focuses on gathering 1 million signatures from swing state voters in favour of the First and Second Amendments of the US Constitution.
The petition stated, "The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments."
Lucky One Gets $1 Million
X owner presented $1 million to an attendee during a campaign town hall in Pennsylvania on Saturday, where support was shown for Republican candidate Donald Trump. The recipient, John Dreher, was handed the $1 million cheque by Musk. He said, "By the way, John had no idea. So anyway, you're welcome."
In his speech, the tech billionaire announced that his political group, America PAC, will be giving away $1 million each day leading up to the November 5 election. Musk established America PAC to support Trump’s presidential campaign, focusing on mobilizing and registering voters in key states. According to federal filings, he has contributed at least $75 million to America PAC, making it a vital player in Trump's effort to secure the presidency.
Previously, the SpaceX founder offered $47 to each registered voter in the U.S. who could bring in others to sign his petition advocating for free speech and the right to bear arms. Gun rights continue to be a contentious issue in the United States, with some advocating for easier access to firearms, while others express concerns about the dangers they may pose to public and personal safety.
