Tech billionaire Elon Musk is known for his bizarre and outrageous comments and now, the SpaceX CEO has posted a cryptic tweet where he wrote that he was "doing his best" to help the underpopulation crisis. In a series of tweets on Thursday, Musk also mentioned that a collapsing birth rate is the "biggest danger civilisation faces" by far. The string of tweets was basically Musk breaking his silence on reports that claimed he secretly had twins with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at his brain-chip startup Neuralink, in November last year.

"Mark my words, they are sadly true," read Musk's another cryptic tweet, followed by a tweet that read: Far too many people are under the illusion that Earth is overpopulated, even though birth rate trends are so obviously headed to population collapse.

Even though Musk did not specifically mention that he was reacting to reports that he had secretly fathered twins last year, this string of tweets on population crisis and birth rate was Musk's eccentric way of reacting to these reports.

With the newly reported twins, the 51-year-old Tesla CEO now has ten known children. According to the court documents, Musk and Zilis filed a petition in April to change the twins' names to "have their father's last name and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name", the Daily Mail reported citing Insider.

Zilis, who was born in Ontario, Canada, met Musk through OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) research-and-deployment non-profit Musk co-founded in 2015. She studied economics and philosophy at Yale where she also played goalie on the women's ice hockey team.

In 2015, Zilis was on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in the venture-capital category and in 2017, got the chance to use her AI expertise at Tesla.
