Women-first dating app Bumble has launched audio prompts and videos that users can add to their profiles; the audio prompts lets users add some information about themselves through a voice recording of up to 30 seconds.

The video prompts on Bumble would allow users to optimise their experience by uploading videos to their profiles. Bumble dating app users in India can now upload a short video of up to 30 seconds to their Bumble profile as their main photo, and also get an option to mute. It should be noted that the same feature is already present on Bumble's rival dating app Hinge.

How to add videos to Bumble profile

- To upload a video, go to ‘Edit Profile’ and upload video as a new option in photo uploader
-  From the uploader, you can adjust and select any segment of a video up to 30 seconds
- After you select a video, you can select a frame from the video as the cover that you would like to appear on your profile
- Video can appear as the main profile photo or secondary photo with an option to mute or unmute

Meanwhile, in its first acquisition, women-first dating app Bumble purchased France's Fruitz for an undisclosed amount, in February this year. Co-founded by Julian Kabab, Fabrice Bascoulergue and Arnaud Ruols, Fruitz is a freemium dating app that is widely popular in Europe. Bumble's acquisition of Fruitz is being seen as a move to strengthen its foothold in Europe, to compete with rival and immensely popular dating app Tinder.
