New Delhi: Apple’s Beats brand is quietly doing away with the Powerbeats, Beats Solo Pro headphones and the entry-level Beats EP headphones. This comes at a time when the iPhone-maker has just announced the new Beats Fit Pro earbuds.

The Powerbeats, Beats Solo Pro headphones and the Beats EP headphones are not available on the official Apple online store and may be still listed with some several third party sellers.
After the discontinuation of these products, the Apple-owned audio accessories manufacturer’s lineup now includes the Powerbeats Pro, Beats Flex, Beats Studio3, Beats Solo3, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Beats Pro Over-Ear Headphones and Beats Pill+. All these products are available on the official Apple online store.

According to a spokesperson from Beats, these products have indeed gotten the axe, but they did not explain the reason behind their discontinuation, says a report in The Verge. Low demand of these models is speculated to be the reason why Beats decided to do away with them.

Meanwhile, Beats has just announced its newest earbuds Beats Fit Pro that features a wingtip design. The audio device is currently available for pre-order only in the US for $200. It is available on the company’s official website and other retailers in black, white, grey and purple colour options.

The new Beats Fit Pro features Adaptive EQA that continuously scans and adjusts low-and-mid-range frequencies via computational audio and in-ward facing mics.

The Beats Fit Pro promises to offer up to six hours with Transparency turned on when it is full charged and the battery life can be extended to seven hours with this turned off.
The carrying case, additionally, gives up to 21 hours of battery life with ANC/Transparency mode on.
