iOS 18: Calendar, Reminder Apps
The report indicates that Apple is currently testing a revamped version of the Calendar app that includes integration with the Reminders app. This integration is expected to offer iOS 18 users the convenience of scheduling and organizing reminders directly within the Calendar app interface.
Moreover, users will have the ability to access both old and new reminders within the Day, Week, and Monthly Calendar views. The leaked information also suggests that these changes will extend to the MacOS 15 update. However, there have been no mentions of similar features for the upcoming iPad OS 18 and watchOS 11 updates thus far.
If these speculations turn out to be true, Apple will address a longstanding issue faced by many iPhone users. Currently, the Calendar and Reminder apps lack integration for reminders or upcoming events. This potential integration could streamline the process of creating reminders, allowing iPhone users to rely solely on the Calendar app for these tasks.
These anticipated improvements to the Calendar and Reminders apps are expected to be among the various features introduced in Apple's upcoming operating systems. The official unveiling of these updates is scheduled to take place at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference event, commencing on June 10, 2024.
