EPS said that Karnataka Congress was trying to do drama by not letting Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Karnataka reportedly did not release the right share of water to Tamil Nadu for the month of June.

Palaniswami said: "Karnataka Congress is trying to do drama by not letting Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. It's against the SC order. DMK says that they are trying to forge a greater alliance at an all-India level but it is not able to convince Congress with which they have an alliance."

EPS also commented on 'Maamanan' movie starring DMK Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. EPS said, "Everyone is talking about Udhayanidhi Stalin's film 'Maamannan'. Is it necessary now? When DMK was in the Opposition, its MLAs abused Speaker P. Dhanapal who is from the SC community. Now DMK is talking about the welfare of SC community and Udhayanidhi is making a movie about the oppressions faced by SC. It's ironical."
