Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin visited a Narikuravar student’s home in Avadi and had tea and breakfast with them on Thursday.
After inaugurating a newly-constructed overhead electricity power line and water supply line in Avadi on Thursday, CM visited the family members of student Dhivya, who belongs to Narikuravar community, a nomadic scheduled tribal group, who continue to face oppression in Chennai.
According to the video of the visit, Chief Minister Stalin was first served with tea. Later, the family members of Dhivya asked him if he would like to have breakfast and once the CM agreed they served him with Idli, sambar and country chicken gravy. The CM relishing the food also fed it to a small kid in their home. He also appreciated the taste of the food.

In March, CM Stalin met Dhivya and her friends at Secretariat in Chennai after a video by the girls talking about their plight went viral on social media. During an interview with a popular Tamil YouTube channel, the students spoke about the hurdles and discrimination they face while they attempt to interact with the remaining students of their class.

The CM met the students R Priya from Immaculate school in Avadi, K Divya from Ebenezer School in Ambattur and SS Darshini from Nazareth Academy in Avadi who were accompanied by School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
