Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin listed the unfulfilled promises made by the previous AIADMK-led government while addressing the MLAs in the Budget session of Tamil Nadu held at Kalaivanar Arangam on Monday. Listing the unfilled promises of AIADMK, the Chief Minister assured that DMK will definitely fulfill the promises made during the TN assembly elections.

Stalin responding to an AIADMK MLA said, “The AIADMK MLA has said that DMK released the white paper just to emphasize that DMK cannot keep up with the poll promise. However, even two days ago I said that we will not back out from our promises made as part of the manifesto.”

“Even if we think about providing a waiver for gold or farm loans, there are some irregularities for several crores so we will sort out the issue and only then we will waive the loans,” he said.

Further, Chief Minister talking on the manifestoes started listing the unfulfilled poll promises of the previous AIADMK led government. Stalin said, “The AIADMK also gave several promises and fulfilled only some of them. AIADMK said free mobile phones will be given but did they give them? They promised to give Aavin milk for Rs 25 but did they give it? They promised Amma mineral water for the underprivileged but did they give?”

“They promised household provisions for free but did they deliver? What happened to the promise of providing Rs 500 coupons for co-optex. They promised wifi facilities in public places but did they deliver? They mentioned the formation of Dr Ambedkar foundation, a textile shop and monorail system but they only completed the metro rail brought by Dr Kalaignar Karunanidhi,” he observed.

Mentioning these, Stalin said, there are a lot more unfulfilled promises of AIADMK but it’s the aim of DMK to fulfill the promises made in manifesto so people need not doubt if DMK will keep the promise since DMK will definitely fulfil the promises.
