Tamil Nadu Rain: As Tamil Nadu’s Chennai continues to face a flood-like situation due to heavy rainfall in the wake of cyclone Michaung, several parts of the city witnessed waterlogging, leaving the roads in the city inundated, news agency ANI reported on Thursday. Amid the chaotic situation in the city, the Indian Navy has stepped in to provide assistance and rescue the stranded people who are bearing the brunt of the incessant rainfall.






In the visuals shared by ANI, a petrol pump in the Pallikaranai area can be seen inundated and deserted as Chennai continued to reel under massive waterlogging.






The Indian Navy said that more than 700 people were shifted to safer locations, and the Flood Relief Teams continued to render assistance to the stranded people in the submerged colonies of Pallikaranai, Thoraipakkam, Perumbakkam, and Velachery in Chennai, as per news agency ANI.
