National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested another two terrorist operatives in case pertaining to a bomb blast in a car laden with explosives in front of Kottai Eswaran Temple of Coimbatore District. The accused, Jamesha Mubeen, after swearing allegiance to ISIS, was planning to carry out a suicide attack and cause extensive damage to the Temple Complex with the intention to strike terror in the community, NIA said in a release.
The accused arrested Wednesday are identified as Sheikh Hidayathullah and Sanofar Ali. Both are residents of Coimbatore. Nine other accused persons have been arrested in the case earlier.

According to preliminary investigations, it is revealed that the accused persons had entered into a criminal conspiracy in the interior of forested regions of Asanoor and Kadambur areas of Sathyamangalam forest in the Erode district in February 2022.
The meetings were led by previously arrested accused Umar Farook and participated by deceased accused Jamesha Mubeen, Mohammed Azharuddin, Sheikh Hidayatullah and Sanofar Ali, where they conspired to prepare for and execute terror acts.
Earlier, Coimbatore Police have commenced a door-to-door survey on the residents in the city after the terror links in the Coimbatore car blast have come out in the open. In a raid conducted at the residence of the deceased Jameesha Mubin, the Tamil Nadu police have found several incriminating documents, including some eulogising the ISIS ideology.
The police have already communicated to the owners of buildings to produce details on identification proof, family details, mobile numbers, permanent address, previous address, and nature of work.
