Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin thanked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for voicing the long-standing arguments of Tamils in the Parliament including the NEET issue. The Congress leader during the debate on Motion of Thanks to President mentioned Tamil Nadu multiple times to emphasize that the BJP is ruling the country like a "kingdom" instead of a democracy.
On Thursday, MK Stalin taking to social media said, "Dear @RahulGandhi, I thank you on behalf of all Tamils for your rousing speech in the Parliament, expressing the idea of Indian Constitution in an emphatic manner."
"You have voiced the long-standing arguments of Tamils in the Parliament, which rest on the unique cultural and political roots that value Self Respect," he said.

In a fiery speech, Rahul Gandhi said, the BJP-led government can never ever rule over Tamil people in their entire life. He said, the Centre thinks about suppressing the language, culture and history of the states but they do not have any idea what they are dealing with.
The people of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Rajasthan have an understanding of their culture along with the culture of India and this is the strength of the country, he said. However, the Centre is not giving space in their frame since they believe that only the king has a voice.

The leader also said that "main Tamil hoon na" when asked by the media on why he mentioned about the southern states in his speech.
