Chennai: A special police team investigated AIADMK functionary N Ravi (a) 'Anubhav' Ravi in connection with former CM Jayalalithaa's Kodanad Estate bungalow heist-cum-murder case on Monday.
According to a report on The Hindu, a team led by IG (West Zone) Sudhakar questioned N Ravi on Police Recruits School campus in Coimbatore from 11 am to 5 pm.
Ravi who currently works with AIADMK's Amma Peravai for Coimbatore city was questioned about the link between him and the prime accused in the case.
The police reportedly found that the prime suspect in the case C Kanagaraj contacted Ravi before the heist in 2017.

The probe with Ravi also comes after Madras High Court dismissed his petition opposing investigation in Kodanad case in August 2021. Later, Ravi moved Supreme Court in September 2021 against further investigation but the top court refused to interfere in the probe.
Earlier, the special team questioned former AIADMK MLA VC Arukutty about the case on PRS campus in Coimbatore on April 15.
The Kodanad heist-cum-murder case pertains to a break-in and murder of security guard Om Bahadur at the high-profile estate owned by late CM Jayalalithaa after her death in April 24, 2017. In the attempt by a 10-member gang, another guard was also injured. However, till date, the police are yet to learn about the articles robbed from the house.
After the heist, eight persons were arrested in the case. However, a technician of the estate was found dead by suicide at the estate on July 3, 2017. A prime suspect in the case Kanagaraj was killed in a freak road accident in Salem and another prime suspect Sayan during the same time was injured in another road accident in Palakkad in 2017.
