During his visit to the Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple in West Mambalam, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi on Monday claimed that an all-encompassed sense of invisible fear and apprehension was visibly evident on the faces of priests and temple staff. According to the Governor, the temple premises conveyed an atmosphere of acute repression, contrasting sharply with the festive environment prevailing in the rest of the country ahead of Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
Taking to X, Tamil Nadu Governor Ravi said, "This morning I visited Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple, West Mambalam, Chennai, and offered prayers to Prabhu Sri Ram for the well-being of all. This temple is under HR&CE Dept. There was an all pervasive sense of invisible fear and apprehensions writ large on the faces of priests and temple staff."
"A stark contrast to the festive environment in the rest of the country. While the entire country is celebrating the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla, the temple premises here exude a sense of acute repression," he said.

The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony commenced at 12:20 p.m. and concluded by 1 p.m. Following this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering which included seers and prominent personalities. The entire event was broadcast live.
Over 7,000 individuals including politicians, industrialists, saints, and celebrities from various parts of the country participated in the grand opening.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu and Kerala had a normal day except for special poojas organised in temples.
